The article mentions that Cupp/Walid takes medication for his mental illness and has sought therapy in the last couple months. Once a bed is available at the Northwest Regional Reentry Center, it looks like he will be released to that facility.

Bernstein also quotes from the affidavit that Cupp/Walid claimed he was on the same level as al-Qaida founder Osama bin Laden and white supremacist Timothy McVeigh. We also learn that Cupp/Walid has been on paid leave from his job at WalMart due to his online behavior.

Also in her article, we learn that Cupp has been living on the street and in a North Portland motel since he faced a restraining order issued from Clackamas County in April barring him from contacting his estranged wife and her three children (all of whom are Black and Muslim).
