I was expressing the joy I was having for this moment and I don’t speak Spanish or Portuguese. I wasn’t being disrespectful and, personally, I should have known better but it is shitty you’re putting regular people on blast because they didn’t know Brazil spoke Portuguese.

Fair assessment! My gripe is with too many people saying that nonviolent actions are superior to what could be considered violent. Especially as the violence escalated. I would love to believe we can find a peaceful solution but history tells me it’s gonna be more complicated than that.
