Really interesting thread. I'd agree with your own conclusions. The video on Steam just doesn't sell the game. It's confusing, chaotic, too fast and all over the place without explaining a single thing about the gameplay loop. It looks great though, the production values of the game really show.

I'm really happy that I still get to support this game for the small but loyal fanbase. New people are still discovering the game every week, it's so cool.
