We moeten terug naar het oude ideaal, een waarin het internet in handen is van ons allemaal, en niet van de zeer rijken.

I'm going to have two idle days in Portland, Maine, having never been there before. What should I make sure to do or see or eat or drink?

No, I don't thinks so. If the SPARQL examples where loaded in the endpoint: one could do something like `curl 'https://sparql.uniprot.org/sparql/?format=json&ac=1&' --data-urlencode 'query=PREFIX sh:<http://www.w3.org/ns/shacl#> SELECT ?prefix ?namespace WHERE { [] […]

I want to reach out: Do you know any good(!) paper for benefits or downsides of online course? Or of online vs. on-site courses?

I did a little research, found nothing compelling, but I am _not_ an expert in this field and might very well be overlooking something.

more "how do you use this git feature" questions: do you ever use `git reset --soft`? What do you use it for?

(note: --soft is not the default)
jerven.akademienl.social.ap.brid.gy
@b0rk not with filename, but I do git reset --hard ${commitid} more often then I should. Normally when I started developing some feature on my main branch, to reset the main branch after I moved all that feature code into it's own new branch.

#uniprot The largest open+free #knowledgegraph in the life sciences. I will be talking about the why and the use cases at #semantics2025 5th of September 2025. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

A short history of the UniProt RDF and SPARQL. After founding of UniProt in 2002, UniProt was available in #RDF since 2007, and has grown to a 225 billion statement/edge/triple knowledge graph queryable with #SPARQL

#java #jvmls impressive talk by Brian Goetz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz7Or9C0TpM it's going to take a while, but the proposed capabilities would be amazing.

Many EU member countries have a rich colonial past, e.g. France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium... (I know, Germany too - but this is off my topic here.) Do you know any museum from any of such country who would be interested to work with us on a European funded project about taking […]

«Our project [<span class="text-blue-600 dark:text-sky-400">#openstreetmap] is constantly under a threat from technical people, who see it as a database, or a fixed structure, or an API to work with – and not as a community of people with specific knowledge who make the map as a by-product of understanding the world.»

So we'll put by […]

There should be a reality show where contestants have to complete challenges in as dignified a manner as possible, and are graded by a panel of wickedly sarcastic fashionistas and high-society snobs. I want to watch, I dunno, Miranda Priestly deliver vicious commentary on someone struggling to […]

the many ways AI is making humans less productive #1:

- I have to proof I am human when visiting website
- websites are generally slower because they need to check if my browser is an AI bot
- I spent time every week now, restarting services affected by AI scraping bots

And I am not even using […]

My partner and I are heading to NYC for a show in October, and I'd like to know if there's a comprehensive theatre calendar somewhere, where I can see everything on, off, off-off, or way the fuck off broadway on any given date.

Boosts for reach please?

We found only two safety issues: missing results for queries with multiple predicates, and incorrect timestamps in a […]
