The hottest of Ranger prospects Nathan Aspinall earned first star of the game honors for the fourth time in his last six games after his second four-point performance (2-2-4) in his last 11 days. The captain of the Flint Firebirds helped his team win their OHL best 10th straight game with a 5-4 win over their archrival Saginaw Spirit.

So even with the Rangers placing Parssinen on waivers, the franchise remains a mess salary cap wise. This is with the Rangers carrying one player under the 23 player limit

With nine of the eleven New York Rangers prospects in action on Saturday evening, it wasn't the most productive of evenings. Just one prospect Nathan Aspinall was a factor as the prospects saw their teams go 5-3-1 for the evening. Tonight's Star Nathan Aspinall Flint Firebirds 2-1-3 +3 So far this season, it has been Nathan Aspinall as the only consistent performer among the prospects and Saturday was no different.
