Honest musing: I sometimes wonder if this is how GitHub/M$ blew an early lead with Copilot.

GitHub Next got sucked into the larger org and couldn't ship as fast.

wikipedia-mcp already exists [1] but I find the agentic CLI harnesses to be a lot more token-efficient over local content. Perhaps you could do both - run Wikipedia locally + local MCP server.

Here are the tools in wikipedia-mcp

Hmmm... I wonder if it's even simpler. Just download wikipedia locally and start <insert your favorite agentic CLI harness> in the root directory.

Agentic search is probably good enough that it can find what you're looking for.

I've been thinking about this for a bit, and while I agree that this is the future, I wonder if this is the near future (1-2 yrs) or far future (5-10 yrs).

Seems that there are still a lot of technical and UX challenges with making software that's dynamically malleable.

rooms are where life happens. we create, workshop, collab, party, veg out, bring up our kids... in rooms

and we do it together

why would I want a computer strapped to my face? instead: a computer we can walk into... and walk out of

I am all-in on augmented environments.

- daily / weekly / monthly retrospectives - I can just talk and it turns it into a structured format
- decision log - extract from my notes any decision I've made recently, add to a decision log file, set a date to check in
- also give it access to my github via `gh` so it creates issues for me

After talking to Claude for 20 minutes planning out work for today:

> Priority order? This is a lot for one day. If you had to rank the top 3 must-dos, what would they be?

🥺 Yep, you're so right Claude.

Yes! I already implemented something I've wanted for *years*: a decision log with a "review date" so that I can check in regularly.

And it was ~10 minutes.

I'm really excited to see where this all leads.
