Bernice Summerfield: The Doomsday Manuscript. This one didn't stick with me well. I think it's well-performed, but I kept losing the plot. It's been a pretty stressful week, so that might be on me, but this one really didn't hold my attention.

for a while. However, my favorite of the set was "The Odds Against" by @johndorney.bsky.social . It felt the closest to horror for me, and it's setting up the endgame. I'm excited for the next set.

Ravenous 3. To me, this is where Ravenous really started to come together. The stories are all wonderful explorations of fear. "Companion Piece" was a really enjoyable story. Having so many companions of the 8th Doctor come together to solve a problem was very cool. Some of them hadn't been around..

stood out to me the most was "Hostile Environment" by Ash Darby. It was a brutal listen that illustrated with only small Sci-fi additions, the challenges faced by people who are homeless. It was really rough and raw, but an important thing to hear.

Torchwood: God Among Us 2. I still feel like these would be a little more suited if there were a stronger continuity between the stories. It's there, but generally very in the background. Mayne that will come more into play in the final set. There were some good stories though. By far, the one that

her character's twist was wonderful. The entire series being a pseudo-sequel to Dalek Masterplan works really well, and gives the story a strong foundation. Aside from the overall story arch, my favorite story was "Planet of the Drashigs" by Phil Mulryne. Again, it added to lore in a respectful way.

4th Doctor Series 8. I was skeptical of this series. I know @bigfinish.bsky.social has successfully created so many original companions for other Doctors, but the 4th Doctor somehow felt like he should stay with the classics. However, I instantly warmed to @janeslavin.bsky.social 's Ann Kelso, and..

the deranged Mary Poppins she is. I also really loved the Missy-Monk interactions of @johndorney.bsky.social 's "Divorced, Beheaded, Regenerated." I hope we get to see more of them together because their bickering was a lot of fun, but given where the Monk ends up... we'll see.

Missy 1. This set was really enjoyable. Missy works really well on audio, and all the stories found ways to center her even though she's clearly a villain. I had wondered how that would work. "A Spoonful of Mayhem" by @roygill.bsky.social was a perfect starting point. We truly got to see Missy as...

reminded me of The Edge of Destruction a little. I really appreciated that they found a way to include Carole Ann Ford with this cast. It seemed like a very special homage.

1st Doctor Adventures 3. This is still not my favorite series. The cast's voices are just quite far away from the original cast and it always pulls me out of the stories. That being said, I really enjoyed the story of Guy Adam's "Tick-Tock World." With something going wrong with the TARDIS, it...

you need done. Aside from being a great artist, she’s an incredibly kind person. Also, here’s my first tattoo.

"The Bekdel Test" by Jonathan Morris is a great two-hander with Missy. It was VERY amusing to see the River and Missy both struggle to not discuss the Doctor. Then, "Animal Instinct" by @roygill.bsky.social had River discover Beevers's Master. Gill captured his suave and sinister nature quite well.

Diary of River Song 5. Oh, I really loved this set. All four stories were great. Having River interact with a bunch of different Master incarnations was just so much fun. It's a combination of a positive rebel and a negative rebel. Great fun. I think the first two stories were my favorites...

The New Counter-Measures: The Hollow King. I have come to enjoy this series quite a bit. It's very old-timey spy thriller. In this case, they are investigating a wellness-retreat/cult. It was a pretty enjoyable listen, and these actors inhabit their characters very well. Different from a lot of
