We were in high school. A bunch of us borrowed my dad's car, drove to St. Louis, spent the night in a hotel, and skipped school the next day.

If he aligns with AIPACs views, and that's why they're donating to him, that's a bad thing, not a reason to want him as party leader. They're not an ally of Democrats; they contribute to Republicans. Their money should be shunned.

Contractors get supplies at Home Depot (and other lumber yards and hardware stores) every morning. Hopeful day workers gather there to pick up work. ICE has been using this as a 'fish in a barrel' situation.

That's true, in the Senate, but I don't believe it about the House. The crop of Republicans, in the House, are true believers. A combination of the naturally stupid, the undereducated, and religious nuts. My representative, Mike Bost, of the IL-12, is all three!
