It's so hard to believe, or even to remember, but it REALLY IS crucial to take care of yourself, your friends, family, neighbors. Take delight in little things. Enjoy this life, for all its flaws & challenges.

Still amazed by this Pygmy owl. Such a beauty and so smol. I love the Pacific Northwest and will defend its flora, fauna, ecosystems and vulnerable people until my last breath.

Been meaning to share my very similar cat with you... ours came out of the forest one winter day, clearly feral (clipped ear). I coaxed her carefully for about 3 months, finally got her to come in. She's the best.

My daughter made me this completely wild collaged storage box made entirely from vintage Star Trek comics. All sides of it are covered so expertly. Truly amazing!

In other news, I got a record player for my birthday. I used to have a huge record collection & it was stolen by a coke dealer (long story). So it feels like a big reclamation moment for me.
Thought I had zero records, so would have to wait until I could go shopping.
