Years ago I had a crow nestling in the yard after a wind storm. I got the cats away and my dog was trained not to chase so we could walk in and out without being molested by the 4-5 adults tending the young one. One guy got so angry they dive bombed him and not me and Midnight.

Thanks. Adding these names to the list of people I won't ever vote for in a national election.

Hold strong. Vote no on this fake deal.

Hold strong. Don't accept this fake deal.

My family keeps trying to get me to move to CA and I love the fact that I can wear long pants and sleeves most of the time here in Seattle so I don't have a perpetual sunburn.

I will never understand people who use AC to get a temperature indoors they would require heat for in the winter.

A paper map will also tell you that side route google is sending you on is a forest service road that is closed in the winter.

There's a whole generation of kids who will be radicalized against any police and our government.

How? Switching to google is worse, they just have better cover for their malfeasance.

I saw an interview with Steve Erwin where he was asked if there was anything that would make him give up his work. He said yes immediately. When his kids were ready to "take his mission and run it up" he would gladly step aside. He was a wise elder at such a young age.

Neither of my previous dogs cared about birds but my current one is totally fascinated by them, especially crows. She will stand with me on the sidewalk for many minutes watching the flyover as they head to the nighttime rookery. If I say "the crows are going", she looks up.

Our bodies need that morning sun. In places like Seattle permanent daylight savings time would mean we don't get sun until 9AM. Latitude makes a big difference.

I would like to see a real analysis of how development that causes faster runoff of water adds to the fire problem vs dry underbrush.

Disease, weather, and complications with birth. I lost all respect and sympathy for ranchers after I saw the cattlemen's association report on mortality. Wolves don't even account for a percent.

Not sure about the trees but I read about this in Water Always Wins and it is already improving seasonal flooding.

This is a fair question. I do get the nostalgia though as someone who grew up with the NYT every Sunday. I canceled the WP when they wouldn't endorse Harris but if it had been the NYT, I might have taken longer. I gave up the NYT after moving to Seattle.

YES

They also don't really require ranchers to work non-lethal measures first either. That is an issue here in WA where one guy in particular just won't do anything.

Then we also need some bright young tech people who are willing to be millionaires instead of billionaires to build out web services, a phone OS, and a computer OS not dependent of the ones currently owning those spaces. 2/2 Otherwise we are all owned by a few people who keep gaining more control.

This all makes sense to me and I was not surprised that you use AWS. What I want to know is how do we get out of this? First, people need to stop expecting things for free and pay for services that really matter to them. 1/2

How big are the trees? Those are so cool.

A much better suggestion would have been to learn about the people indigenous to your home and see what you can do to help them or participate in opportunities they offer. Locally the Duwamish offer tours of the watershed and their native plant gardens.
