And it kills me when patient says something like “oh the hospital doc said that medicine was hurting my kidneys”
And then there’s reluctance to resume.

So I try to teach trainees to be mindful of their choice of words if holding RASi is indeed necessary.

HyperK-related RASi discontinuation or down-titration was a/w higher risk of cardiorenal events vs maintained or up-titrated RASi.

And when RASi gets held, we’re not good at restarting them.
