After standing outside in the street awkwardly for much too long in dropping temps (39 now), I got one more peek during maximum eclipse. I admit that I wouldn’t have noticed the difference if I didn’t take this terrible picture. Don’t worry Seattlites, you didn’t miss much 😁 #lunareclipse #wawx

I’d love to hear if he says the failure was due to the design, environmental factors, or a combination. I grew up with these high tension lines behind my house in the Midwest, and even though the crackling sound could sound scary as a kid, I never thought about them falling down 😬

Sitting here seeing the power flicker in our house and got the first notifications from our Ting Sensor for brownouts. We just plugged it in yesterday, so I’m excited to see it already in action! #wawx #bombcyclone

I guess I’ll use my first post as a plug for #GithubSpark by showing off the spark my 6yo (now 7yo) made. Totally not surprised that his spark would have a truck in it :) Hopefully I can make mine next, something to help me track my #nativeplant adventures.

At @snoqualmiefalls with out-of-town family, & although the water was tame the wind was wicked! While trees were bending sideways the visitors were screaming with delight, and I was keeping my 6yo from blowing away 😄 #wawx

Can you hear the whipping wind, imagine the ice crystals hitting your face? This was the first time we closed out Paradise & kept an eye on the time relative to gates closing 🥶 Thank you @MountRainierNPS park rangers for keeping us safe & protecting our land! #wawx

We were lucky to see the partial annular eclipse in Seattle before clouds started to roll in. I was happy that it still made the little crescent shadows 🥰 #Eclipse #wawx

@WDFW @KCDNRP Our new eco lawn keeps bringing this doe back to our yard, which made morning coffee today extra enjoyable 🦌☕️☺️ Third summer in a row we’ve had them come through our yard, aka the wildlife highway, to get to our neighborhood ravine (NW Seattle)

I’m guessing these aren’t #wawx related clouds but smoke clouds? Definitely an interesting display. Looking NW from NW Seattle towards Kingston.

Nerve and Nellie have been busy escorting their two surviving kids around the neighborhood. I’ve enjoyed watching them use our backyard as dropoff daycare where they play, fight over fallen leaves and sticks, and in general are adorable. #seattlecrows #crows
