The trees are cut out from Christmas wrapping paper I found on the floor in the middle bedroom when I was looking for the card blanks. Which were not in that room at all. If I was more organized I would be too powerful

Finished! I made the snowy ground by balling up printer paper and then using a marker on the wrinkles

Miss Pretty enjoying some cat nip Jan 14 2024. I hadn’t taken many pictures of her in the last six months because it’s really hard to take pictures of black cats in low light, but I have a lot of videos like this of her playing. Not so many from this last year but that’s ok.

Olive giving me some snugs

I was cleaning up last night to try to distract myself and I found these two pins among some papers. Of all the stuff to find…

Some real sci fi shit right here, I guess the phone heard me describe Miss Pretty to the vet today, or it read my posts on here and gave the information to FB.

She used to be so big her nickname is Miss Pig and now she’s so small. She used to be spilling out of trays

GTA characters are so fun. I actually know someone who looks like this for real. They did a great job with the characters .

This is not a receipt but for some reason it was in the receipt heap. This is a pocket protector that I found in an old dump site. It came from the cottage hospital here in Come By Chance that closed in the 80s.

Another change over time is in the ink stamps applied to mail when it’s been accepted for postage. I have much older envelops that show the date and post office location. This recent one, lettermail I receive from my pal Kerri, has no information at all!

Still sorting the receipts. I can’t even tell when this one is from, but I have receipts from the 50s that have held up better than this. The ink wears away with friction because it doesn’t get absorbed into the paper like with a pen or typeset

I hoard receipts, I have a hard time parting with them. Grocery receipts are usually the easiest to let go of, though lately I’ve been looking at older ones a bit differently because of how the cost of food is rising. This one was for yarn, though. I bought six balls on August 26th 2013.

I started cooking chilli again because we wanted more chilli. I used ground moose this time and took out two packs because my last go at chilli didn’t last long enough. Somehow moose makes more meat per pound than cows because this is too much meat.

It’s called Dear Mr. Smallwood, it just came out, I have a chapter in it as well! It’s about all the people who wrote letters to Joey Smallwood

While I wait for my fries to cook I’m going to read about St. Barbe in my grandmothers house which is also cold (for now until I go collect wood).

Got my favourite meal at the mall. At this price it won’t be my favourite anymore! You need to work two hours to earn enough to afford this meal!

Well, I’m a published writer now!

I also picked a handful of leaves to make tea. I separated the most green leaves from the rest and I’ll make two cups and see if they taste different.

The water is back where it belongs which is also good to see. All the big holes are wet again. Im sure Zoe will be happy about that when I walk her there again

I went for a walk earlier and it was very nice. All the junipers (larch) have dropped their golden needles
