There's a germ of a good idea in helping people make a claim in a neighbouring country rather than making them embark on long dangerous journeys but you'd need to be able to assess the claim in a matter of days otherwise embassies in low income countries will be full of folk camping out for months

This reminds me of the woman who said she wouldn't vote for Jeremy Corbyn because he wanted to get rid of all the food banks and she needed her local food bank. Twenty years ago they barely existed. Let's try and get back to that.

The poor are absolutely not buying things and throwing them away. Everything gets used. This was a takeaway coffee that had to be made to order, then she was in a rush, forgot about it and poured it down the drain

I remember hearing this discussion last week and the woman said "What was I supposed to do with it?" You were supposed to drink it. You bought it, so unless it was contaminated you should have drunk it.

People need to stop buying things they don't actually want or need. Problem solved.
