All the obits for Terence Stamp featuring his role in Superman and I'm like, have you never seen Billy Budd? Far From the Madding Crowd? Priscilla, Queen of the goddam Desert? RIP a stunning actor.

If the Guardian wants to endorse these two for @greenparty.org.uk leadership, they should say so instead of just implying it by leaving out Zack's photo.

In a consultant's waiting room and all they have to read is The Telegraph's weekend magazine, but isn't this the most Telegraph letter ever?

Why is the Guardian running an article that's nothing more than a one-sided campaign piece for Ellie & Adrian & calling it an "exclusive"? How hard is it, really, to get candidates for party leadership to agree to an "exclusive" that lets them trash their opponent? #BackZack

itv4's got an old episode of Kojak, which was the most '70s of '70s cop shows, but the guest stars are Eli Wallach, F. Murray Abraham, Michael V. Gazzo (Frankie Pentangeli in The Godfather), and Jerry Orbach, nearly unrecognizeable behind a Magnum-esque mustache. Almost makes it worth watching.

This is interesting - a group of 17th/18th Century magic manuscripts w/ an auction estimate of £200-£300 is currently at £5,600 before the live bidding's even begun. Glad it's so far over my budget that I'm not tempted to bid! www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auctio...

Re-watching Arthur Penn's 1965 pocket masterpiece 'Mickey One' and oh, what a brilliant piece of cinema - French New Wave meets American jazz, starring a young & stunning Warren Beatty. Shady characters, harsh lights and sharp angles, with Stan Getz's sax smoothing over the paranoia. Just perfect.

Excellent thread. My biggest issue with the guidance is "(not) everyone has a gender identity," which is absolute nonsense, unless someone's agender or so cognitively impaired that they have no sense of self. It stems directly from Mumsnet threads and the like (where they think of it as a "gotcha"):

I feel like I'm in the old Groucho Marx TV game show where you say the magic word, and a duck comes down and gives you $100. Who knew the word was "hieroglyphics?" I'll catch up with replies and follow-backs over the weekend!)
