Updated renders for the Disco Elysium tape player. Still very much WIP, lots of refinement and testing to do! Should be able to prototype the tape mech by end of the month.

I want this to be both a music playing device and an instrument. I think I can reasonably accomplish both of those!!

Made some DB25 connections at work the other day. Not something we do ever because it's all networked audio these days, but I like to bring a sort of analog vibe that digital evangelists are confused by. First time designing/building/programming a system with very little input and I do this shit lol

Climbed Bonticou Crag with some friends from work. Glad I had snacks to calm my nerves bc I didn't research the trail prior to our arrival at the rock face 😅 Not something I've done before but I understand why people like it.
Before the climb - a slope made primarily of large jagged medium gray rocks. The sun is in frame at top-right and producing quite a glare amongst the lightly clouded sky A small pair of people are visible in center. A view from the top - light gray rock in the lower third and a long (estimating 50 mile) view of forested mountains and hills A side profile of the more jagged outcropping of rock at the peak, photographed from slightly below and to the south. So this is it! The Makita-based Eurorack power brick is coming to life. I realized immediately on posting this that I should just design an entire power supply around this. Shit. That'd be cool. IDK I'm cool with leaving that to the experts. I'll even tag the post :)

so I have learned to live with moments like this
A 3D printer bed, on which a black object is being printed. It's a replacement odometer holder for a vintage exercise bike and is approx 20% complete. The grid supports are visibly suspect as several unintended strings appear across the intended support area. However, the supports are self-correcting as the print continues.

So I had a realization the other day
