Your jovial librarian guy. I'm a sucker for a good story, a good game, a good conversation, and a good cup of coffee. Adrift in social media, too old for new platforms. In my Dad Bod Era.

So I know the Spotify wrapped is soon. I did the mock festival app thing and my festival would essentially be Woodstock ‘99 with a scattering of grunge and classic rock as well. 😅 Oh well, as a white male who turned 19 that same July in 1999 I am of my generation.

I feel this in my Gen X bones.
Growing up in a time when “selling out” was the most shameful thing you could do and then being forced to live through the 2020s feels like being kicked in the head by a horse every day

Is Google okay? In the past week I’ve been getting a lot of sever errors from Google searches. Try them on Bing and DuckDuckGo, load instantly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Checked the score of the UK/ Florida game. 😳

I don’t care what the state of these programs are currently. I watched Florida beat on Kentucky for nearly 40 years straight. Seeing a score like this is crazy.

Gotta say I enjoyed Fantastic Four. Nothing to mark it as outstanding Marvel/MCU stuff but they made some decisions I thought paid off well. Skipping past the origin story, giving them their own world, and giving it a futuristic retro 60 aesthetic, all made the movie slick and fun.

Fantastic Four on D+ now for streaming. Watched it. Whole planet coming together for the FF and trying help survive Galactus. How nice. My wife says, that ain’t happening, I’ve seen “Don’t Look Up.”

A few years back when I read a story about how much power was being used to process cryptocurrency and heard them building data centers in Eastern KY because electricity is cheaper there I expected price increases would be on the way as well. AI just accelerated the demand.

I’m pretty sure this was the 2nd movie I ever got to watch in theaters. The first of course being The Transformers which came out the same year in the summer. I have no memory of the adults in my life thinking poorly of this movie. I seem to remember it making some of them cry. It’s a good movie.
It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

You've inherited a movie theater. What's your first double feature?

A Miyazaki double for sure.

So glad my friend hit the group chat with confirmation she was on her way home and not still at the airport. She’s okay.

I’m a Summer guy at heart. Love the warm weather. But early November days likes today always remind me why Autumn is many people’s favorite season. Comfortable clear day, the world pops with so much color (Blue skies, white clouds, trees changing from green to gold, yellow, and red). Enjoying it.

The opening animation for the Kyoto Disturbance season of Rurouni Kenshin is beautiful. Loving the watercolor background. Finally catching up on it on Netflix.

Same. My two personal ones that are close to this is the Cubs in the 2003 NLCS and Kentucky basketball at the 2015 Final Four. I think how close Toronto was last night might be more tragic though.
Having slept on it, it’s really set in that the Blue Jays loss last night was one of the most gutting pro sports losses I can remember. Absolutely brutal. My heart goes out to 🇨🇦
