I got a #vinyl player to use as a prop for my 80s #larp, Sporebound. It came with a free album, so I got Van Halen 1984. Then a coffee shop sold cheap vinyls. Today I bought an Arthur Brown vinyl online.
Now I have to accept I'm a hipster who plays vinyls. We are who we pretend to be.

All I'm saying is, if you ran a campaign on democracy being at stake and democracy lost, isn't it time to be massively freaking out instead of doing this

Patient was stabbed repeatedly.
Doctor spent years restoring patient to health.
Subset of patient’s family were impatient about speed of healing and replaced doctor.
Doctor’s replacement was guy who stabbed patient repeatedly.
Stabbing resumed with greater intensity.

I keep seeing posts along the lines of "America wasn't born to crown new kings, but to dethrone them."
America didn't dethrone anyone. You're thinking of Rome, or the French Republic. America left the British empire and then went right back to being their closest ally within a few decades.

i am going to put a finer point on this: executive orders are not laws. and they certainly are not royal decrees. they are interpretations of existing law for the purposes of enforcement. the fact that so many people are treating them as laws is actually driving me a bit insane.
i mean, the president's executive order isn't a goddamn law! as far as this doctor is concerned, who cares what the president says!
A New York City doctor said he will continue providing gender-affirming treatments to his patients younger than 19 despite President Donald Trump’s executive order aiming to ban such care.
