Sturgill Simpson, aka Johnny Blue Skies, did his thing for 3 hours last at a steamy Knoxville hockey barn last night. My clips don’t do him just justice but here’s a bit of ‘Living the Dream’.

Like many Gen Xers, I repeatedly devoured the Blues Brothers film and first album as a kid without appreciating the historical significance of Steve Cropper and Donald 'Duck' Dunn. Now they're both gone, and it still feels like they were never fully recognized for their greatness. RIP The Colonel.

Posting stupid memes after being accused of murder is the response of a sneering, spoiled punk who has been caught doing wrong and is now daring the local fuzz to take him in and risk the anger of his rich dad—a role fulfilled by Donald Trump, in this case.
