And not that it just somehow has that affect, but that it's indicative of the entirety of the league somehow trying to deal legitimize its regular season.

Just completely illogical. Makes no rational sense whatsoever.

Hard to believe there are people who get paid for their sports knowledge yet have such a poor grasp of how a league with 125+ teams needs to function.

Of course, you bizarrely believe that Lane Kiffin leaving for another job somehow delegitimizes the college football season so...

Those 3 things don't "delegitimize the regular season."

But, hey, if you have a system that will 100% ensure humans don't make bad decisions, I think everyone would love to see it.

That's what many of said when we realized you support transphobic bullies trying to destroy trans folks' lives.

You and @aricohn.com are pathetic - claim to not support attacks on trans folks but shamelessly spend an inordinate amount of effort protecting those attacks.

We see you for who you are.

Does anyone catastrophize quite like an anti-AI zealot?
December 1, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Nah. People develop things in universal research Labs that go on to be patented and they make crazy amounts of money. Why is it okay for PhD students to do it but not kids who play football?

I feel your pain, Clippers fans

Bless your heart, this is why you're hidden below the "show more replies" line. But you did try!

I'll suffer the consequences

I'm not saying this is the likely explanation or otherwise going all conspiracy theorist, but I think it's unwise to just summarily put anything past these people given we more or less know their ultimate goal and some of the other crazy shit they've already pulled.
November 30, 2025 at 8:10 AM
They have to be feeling it and getting nervous knowing that, if they're not successful, things can go really badly for all of them.

And they'll need multiple escalation opportunities to get where they want to go.

I mean, there's no question that a primary goal of the admin is to foment a violent reaction from someone, anyone as reason to move deeper into authoritarianism.

They've so far failed and time is running out before next year's elections; Trump's numbers are getting catastrophic, as is his health.

I could easily see Step 6 being "CIA finds and pushes the right buttons on guy already primed to lose his shit."

Only if you don't know how to use them

"When people rely on large language models to summarize information on a topic for them, they tend to develop shallower knowledge about it compared to learning through a standard Google search."

Obviously.

This is confirmation bias cosplaying as a research study.
November 30, 2025 at 7:44 AM
By definition? Nah.

I imagine plenty of people take the first answer they get from ChatGPT, but those are the same folks who just mindlessly ran with whatever the first Google result they read.

There really is so much nonsense coming out of the anti-AI echo chamber.
November 30, 2025 at 7:27 AM
There's a lot of nostalgia bias and plain being spoiled by tech advances we now see as baseline vs 10 yrs ago.

We expect great battery life, camera quality, connectivity, network speeds, software options, dictation quality, inexpensive TVs/screens, cheap/free storage, etc.
November 30, 2025 at 7:05 AM
So now we focus about the things that have gotten worse like bloat, how extractive / manipulative business models are, social media capture by oligarchs, and other "enshitification" things.

Think it also has to do with how much of your life is literally spent inside of tech vs it just being tools.

Media, yes. Tech? Mmm, no.

I understand that was red meat for the anti-AI echo chamber but c'mon

Combine that with the virtual impossibility of overcoming your Dunning-Kruger, it is basically time for me to move on.

You can lead a clown to facts and knowledge, but you can't make them think.
