Continuing #5debutalbums7074 with the 1st #krautrock entry from #johnsvinyl. Cluster 71 comes from a box set, so it’s a different outer sleeve. It’s hard to believe this was made in 1971. #nowplaying

Next up for #5debutalbums7074. Another I have never spun from #johnsvinyl. Was really grungy when I picked it up a few years ago. I gave it a spin clean then but wasn’t keen to spin it. After a #humminguru deep clean it’s pretty good. Lots of crackles, but the music shines thru. #nowplaying

If you’re paying close attention to my feed you may have noticed three different turntables over the past few days. My workhorse Denon auto, fitted with a new stylus/cartridge last February already needs a new one! I calculated ~1000 hours of play, the max for that (box shown w/ previous cart). 1/x

It’s Record Store Day, Black Friday! I arrived at Vinyl Cup in Des Moines at 5am. Waited outside (18*F) for an hour before the proprietor, Luke, arrived and let us inside to wait until 8 am. I’m #7 in line, so will likely get everything on my list to add to #johnsvinyl. #RSD #RSDBF
