Reading and gardening through this next administration. Working on making my home a haven and practicing daily resistance. This feels bigger than us so I’m here for hope, laughs, and reminders to breathe. Also, can we start a customer service revolution?

On Inauguration Day I can’t delete X because I already have, but it’s probably a good idea for me to delete Threads and Instagram. I’ll miss the possibility of all of those saved reels that I’ve never looked at again. 😂. In 2025 I’ll use my time more wisely
I’ve loved @Duolingo for so long and recommended it to countless students over the years but I greatly dislike their business model and how the CONSTANT attempt to sell me some small thing interrupts learning. I have paid for it in the past but now I’m trying out other platforms. 😔

Attacking a federal district judge as an “activist” for issuing a lawful ruling is an assault on judicial independence. A democracy cannot function when executive agencies denigrate judges for doing their jobs.

Let’s start naming it. This isn’t an “admin,” a government,” a “president,” it’s a Dictatorship, and a Dictator fleecing all for profit. We are just watching all vanish while journalists and Dems normalize them, or use “fascism, autocracy, kleptocracy” (which most of the US can’t define). 🌱

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

The strongest nation in the world can’t protect their children from gun violence so we are teaching them how to hide and fight armed assailants.

This is tragic and terrifying for our children and their parents.

We must pass common sense gun legislation.
