The Jioufen Teahouse is just gorgeous. A beautiful old building restored and fitted out by a local artist. All the touches show someone with a real esthetic flair has put thought and time into this. Beautiful wooden benches, charcoal fired ceramic water pots - just perfect.

It really is. It makes me happy because I love good coffee and hate bad coffee! And Chiang Mai for sure - we had some fantastic coffee there with some impressive "latte art".

Two new birds to the life list yesterday - including a couple of these handsome black crowned night herons. Not exactly in a natural setting as they were busy stealing bread that was being fed to the koi in a park 😂

Taiwan is famous for it's tea, but also has a thriving specialty coffee scene. High quality coffee is grown and processed in areas that produce quality high mountain tea. That quality supports many specialty coffee shops with great single origin bean choices.

Our last coffee shop in Seoul was one of the best. The layout was great allowing views across the road to Gyeongbokgung Palace and a busy street to people watch. Coffee was excellent too!

Today's Konfusion dish for lunch was a bulgogi and kimchi sandwich with 24 month aged cheddar on toasted nut and fruit sourdough loaf.
It was pretty damn good!! 😋

Stopped for coffee and cake at this cute coffee house this morning.
It was "Egg coffee" which I would have called a creme brulee coffee.
Brewed coffee with an egg custard on top, complete with bruleed (flamed) top. It was surprisingly good but a bit sweet.
Plus a cheesecake 😋
