Last Friday, I said goodbye to my amazing cat Alice, who recently developed an aggressive form of cancer. She took over many virtual work meetings during Covid lockdowns. She opened my heart and made me a better person. She was loved by family and friends. Her memory is a blessing and forever so.

Translation: I am a Liberal MP and I am upset I did not get a ministerial role.

It was certainly A Choice for the New York Times reporters who wrote this piece to cite an anonymous source saying the CEO was one of the few execs who cared about members, without any verification, when Thompson allegedly cashed out big on stocks ahead of announcing a gov’t probe into his company.

Finished this mammoth 860-page book. Lots of lessons to be taken from this era of unmatched struggle and sacrifice.

I was curious and looked up what prison conditions are like for war criminals and others tried under international law at The Hague, given today’s ICC news. Their cells may just be a bit better than my university dorm at Carleton.
