Oklahoma beat Bama. Oklahoma is ahead of Bama despite the same record (and the worst loss in the field).

Texas beat Vandy. Texas is ahead of Vandy despite one more loss.

Miami beats Notre Dame and has the same record. Miami is two spots behind Notre Dame (and out of the CFP).

Rather than wait for another wave of questionable trading during the next economic crisis to further deteriorate public trust in our institutions, we're calling on Congress to pass the Restore Trust in Congress Act to fully ban stock trading by lawmakers and their families.
NEW: We just sent a letter, along with 8 other groups, urging the House to swiftly move forward with the Restore Trust in Congress Act, a congressional stock trading ban with bipartisan support.

There is no reason to delay this important reform.

The League of Women Voters registered tens of thousands of new Americans at naturalization ceremonies every year -- until a new USCIS rule told them they couldn't do that anymore. The First Amendment protects the League's right to conduct this essential civic engagement activity. So we're suing.
BREAKING: We're suing to block a new Trump admin policy that bans nonpartisan civic engagement groups like @lwvus.bsky.social from registering new American citizens to vote at naturalization ceremonies. This is a clear violation of the First Amendment and federal law.

The Trump administration is taking a sledgehammer to the rule of law, one day at a time. Grateful to these attorneys for speaking out against the vindictive mob takeover of our Department of Justice.

It's going to take a long time to repair this damage.

There is simply no legal authority—emergency or otherwise—that would allow the president or any member of the executive branch to seize control of or interfere with election administration. If they do this, it will be wholly outside the bounds of the constitution and federal law.
Election denial figures in podcast interviews & social media have been calling for Trump to declare a “national emergency” to prevent supposed election fraud.

One of them, Jerome Corsi, has claimed he’s involved in drafting an executive order “to be implemented for the" 2026 midterms.

The core issue at the root of Louisiana v. Callais is the continued use of the map drawing process to racially discriminate against particular groups of voters, and the need for legal pathways to challenge and stop these efforts.

I've seen some people (ahem) framing the implications of today's arguments as being bad for Dems in Congress. That's an impoverished reading and a tactical error. Section 2 upholds multiracial democracy is ways that extend so far beyond partisan fighting in DC
Tomorrow, SCOTUS will hear arguments in Louisiana v. Callais, a major threat to (what remains of) the 1965 Voting Rights Act. But this isn't the first time the VRA has faced dire threats; in 2013 and 2021, SCOTUS weakened other provisions. We can learn from those why Callais could be so dangerous 🧵
