The end of the conference saw the launch of the Newcastle Gateshead Declaration, the world’s first ever global LGBTQ+ solidarity declaration.
There were some inspiring keynote speeches and breakout sessions, based on the theme of “Local to Global” discussing power, politics and populism, and the fight against authoritarianism.

Am in London at a queer book festival (as you do) but popped over to the street by the London Palladium to watch Rachel Zegler sing “Don’t cry for me Argentina” from a balcony to us gathered below. Camp free fun!

Really enjoyed watching Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Given that the soundtrack was the background to most long-distance car journeys when I was a kid, it is not surprising that we remembered all the lyrics!
