Using my limited Japanese while I was in Kyoto was very satisfying. I'm going back in a couple of years, and I'm aiming to know more than I did last time.

I'm still doing comic work but I'm slowing down a fair bit to focus on myself for a bit, starting with getting back to learning Japanese. I was enjoying my lessons and my tutor, until Covid stripped that away from me. Time to pick it back up.

Silent Hill f is a departure from the traditional concept of the first 3 games, but still holds true to many of the driving ideas behind its narrative style, character development, and the psychological processes the protagonist goes through.

Finished Silent Hill f and watched the various endings. One of the best games I've played in a while, and a really mature examination of forced gender roles, self-identity and abuse, just to name a few of them.

I do find value in it, but only in moderation. I don't need the pressure of engagement, of pumping out art for clicks or visibility. Taking a back seat to focus on myself is the right choice. It's not a cure for all my problems, but it's a healthy step.

Like a lot of you, I'm dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety. 2025 has a way of heightening things like loneliness, even when you're around other people. I'm hyper aware of things I desperately need in my life, and just as aware of things I do have that aren't healthy. Social media is the latter.

I do have a Witchy Sally art for Halloween but beyond that, you'll just have to wait and see.
