Moving in. Like Japan and doujin games.
Trump only has to get control of the Federal Reserve now and that's the whole thing in a bag. Capture the Fed and he fixes interest rates. That the economy is screwed matters nothing, since voters reward Dems for repairing the economy by voting Trump in. It's insane. But here we are.
Appeals court rules Trump can fire independent agency members without cause gutting the last bulwark against presidential capture of oversight. They're not "independent" if they serve at his pleasure. This is how democracies die: with judges rewriting "for cause" to mean "for any reason I like."

One thing I admired the Scala Cinema for doing was putting on bills that had no interest for me, but served other sections of our society. I'd look at the monthly broadsheet, nope, nope, nope, that looks nice, nope, nope. The nopes never bothered me though. Other people would like them.
On this day (7th December) in 1984, the Scala Cinema was showing Stranger Than Paradise and Radio On as a double bill.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

Anyone noticed how UK media is a lot less obsessed with Farage’s alleged antisemitism than Corbyn’s alleged antisemitism?

Odd that.

Interesting thing to take away here.

BBC asked 5000 doctors to take part in a survey about overdiagnosis of mental health conditions. Only 15% of them responded.

And what do you think the belief will be of that 15% who specifically wanted to respond to a study into overdiagnosis? 🤔

The Express is furious about this because the moment you show those who repeat anti-immigration rhetoric the real human stories their narrative collapses.

The “immigrants” are people. Our friends, colleagues and family.

And it’s this nation of neighbours that is what makes Britain great.

There are so many people living lives of quiet dignity despite horrific medical news or poverty or tragedy where every day they still wake up and try to be good people in the world even as the world pushes against them and it makes me even angrier at the absolute shitheads that rule over things

There is no human right to a parking space wherever you want to go.
However, there is a car policy that gives you this feeling because people are considered more important than children.

Dodged a virtual bullet. Tried installing very old drivers onto this W10 PC. Buggered up the Registry. Took an hour but Windows fixed itself. Back in the game, after a very nervous spell. Well done Micro$oft, I never doubted you.

In other news, is there no way to recover Iomega Zip Discs now?

That is the wrong answer! The correct answer is modern boardgames. And no crisps.

Also, stop pressuring people to make social time next level. We've got enough trouble keeping afloat. Screw the next level.
What takes every holiday get-together to the next level? Amazing food, of course! And that's where Suzy Gazzellone of Suzy's Cake Angels comes in – and she's here to share her mouth-watering recipes for cakes, cookies and cupcakes. FULL INTERVIEW: www.chch.com/morning-live...

The primary function of a motor car is to demonstrate wealth and status.

If getting around easily was primary, they'd be thinner.
If safety was primary, they'd painted white or yellow and not black or red.
