The BBC news notification on my phone was truncated to “…Nadine Dorrie’s d…” and for a fleeting moment my brain autocompleted it to “dead at 68 from her own malevolence”

And they gloss over the photos being stock shots being an unconnected failing. Even if the article had been true they’d still have illustrated it with fabricated pictures.

Those of us outside the US are just amazed that once again you’re only just getting something that’s been commonplace in Europe for decades.

Sweden once trialled an even better system. The fines went into a pot and were won as lottery prizes by drivers obeying the limit.

It’s an account I don’t follow and have never seen before that got pushed into my feed. It’s not the end of the world, there will be a new season of drag race starting within 24hrs… 😝
