Gamer and old person.
From the thumbnail on my phone it looked like it was running doom on a little screen. Disappointed.

Aliens and simpsons doom were my favourites.

Is it Hotrod? The one with the four steering wheels?

And you can play it in 3D. If you're so inclined.

I love that the arcade machine had a tape deck inside that played separate ways on the bonus stage.

Physical is just a medium for storing data. DRM and games being bound to servers is the problem.

And MacOS. Gameboy colour too though not the same port.

Sadly, I can't find a video online of how links used to redraw from disk, as all the videos are from emulators. It's sad that these pieces of history are fading. Soon people will have a distorted view of what gaming was actually like.

Pretty much the same with links the challenge of golf. Took 10 seconds to render a screen, but it used HAM mode so there's that. Or of course there's Vista, that could take a few hours on a 68000.

NMS in PSVR2 is so good. I have no idea how Hello games maintain so many versions and updates.

If only commodore had released the CD1200 maybe there would have been more CD software and less straight copies of the floppy version with CD audio or an FMV intro.

Plus the 32x version supports the Dempa Xe-1ap which was made for After Burner. And is also a trail blazer for modern controllers.

Is it new background music by 3 doors down?
October 19, 2025 at 9:04 AM
Is it me or does the music seem slightly slower than normal? I played a lot of hopper on the Electron. Although we had a green screen and it was years before I knew you could play in colour.

At least no one is going to remote onto your pc and steal your files. Though probably mostly because they'd have to get you to set your modem to auto answer.

Weird hearing the music at 60hz.

The graphics look great for a 1989 Amiga game.

I was a Lynx fan and still am. Great multiplayer too.

Costco NZ were selling Series X at half price. Obviously to clear stock.

That's pretty cool. Somewhere I have assets from the A1200 demo they used in Dick Smith in NZ. I asked back in the day and just copied the files off the demo machine. Wish I had copied the whole demo. It had pictures and anims with a mod version of its my life by Dr Alban. Some HAM8 pics too.

Oh wow, I need these! My one has turned to dust!

The problem is, it's not physical vs digital. Physical is just a medium for digital. The problem has always been DRM. Just older cartridges/discs came without DRM.

Needs an 040? I get it, the Amiga 1200 wasn't a powerhouse, most people probably use winuae and pistorm isn't that expensive, but I always think it's a shame that more and more of these modern amiga games won't work on factory machines.
