Hypertrophy W1D4 deadlift max. I used a trap bar for the first time ever. I finished at 365 lbs single. I have no idea how much the bar weighs, used 45 lbs. Video below. #gymsky #fitnesssky

Yeah, a 1” thick pvc pipe is great to hold on to. People normally use them for stretching shoulders and back.

Something else you can do is use the bar supports and lay the bar across. It’s easier and much less of a chance of it snapping back up at you. You just have to learn where the good placement of the supports will be.

Sorry been MIA, played a bunch of volleyball last week. Redoing last weeks workout this week. Knees bothering me so no squats. PR 2-sets of 50kb swings with 44lbs. That hurt. Lifted 44klbs. BW 191 and almost slept 6 hours. Strength loss is real. #FitnessSky #GymSky @hardwayfitness.bsky.social

W6D3, 10,9,8…1 of zercher squats, pull-ups , push ups, deadlifts(cleans bothered my knee)@ 145lbs, hanging leg raises. It was brutal, only slept 3 hours, so in my head, exhausted mentally and physically. Still got it done faster than I expected 18:10. #GymSky #FitnessSky @hardwayfitness.bsky.social

HW6D2- weights a little lighter, had a full day of rescue ops, I was tired. Only skipped RDL’s. Carrying 200 lbs dummies at training for FF, down flights of steps did the trick. Cardio portion skipped for 1 hr walk at a park, which was lovely. #GymSky #FitnessSky, @hardwayfitness.bsky.social

Today is a somber day for me, 9/11 memorial 110 floors with 22 lb weighted vest and around 50 lbs backpack. Took about 47 minutes with a few breaks. Today is a day to celebrate the brave first responders that went into the danger and made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. #gymSky #FitnessSky
