I made a really great steward the other day and ruined it by putting in baking powder instead of salt

I have lots of followers on LinkedIn and for me that's my livelihood but find audience isn't about follower count.

Engineering took over product development. Marketing, understanding the needs of the market, got cast aside. Its all about generating hype to get funding.

The people working in it are awesome. I know a retired 80 year old medical director and he's still full of beans and involved in lots of projects.

The people who buy fitness trackers don't need them. The people who need them can't use them because they are designed to be toys.

Nicotine pouches are extremely potent and dirt cheap now. I spend 15 euros a week on them.

I tried a cigarette a few months ago, it tasted disgusting and it's less of a Nicotine rush.

Mamdani could be a generational talent (its still early). The current Prime Minister of Spain is definitely in that category and one of his hallmarks is that he can manipulate the far right in Spain into doing what he wants them to do.

I interviewed over a hundred people this year in healthcare, pharma and health IT. When I'm stumped on questions I get some from LLMs, winnow out the obviously lame ones and give what's left to the interview subject to ask them if any of them are decent.

I learned a lot that way.

If you don't like what Trump's stated position all you have to do is wait a week.

I am very sceptical about self driving cars in the short term. There's too many messy edge cases.

In one famous example a self driving car killed a woman because she was pushing a bycycle with two plastic bags swinging from the handles.

There's no solution to that in sight.

Some people will hide prompts for AI in websites as white text on a white background. Human visitors can't see the white text but any AI scraping that data is uneffected by that. The white text serves to give AI instructions covertly.

So it's not just malign state actors influencing these LLMs. Marketers all across the board are influencing the training of these LLMs so that they market their products for them.
November 21, 2025 at 1:42 PM
It's actually extremely easy to influence LLMs with prompt injections and training data insertions. This is why a lot of orgs are moving away from the "scrape it all and let legal sort it out later" providers.

We're also seeing unproven marketing claims coming out of LLMs as fact.

My trick with LinkedIn is to double bell the people that matter and ignore the main feed, scroll notifications instead.
