Wednesday schedule in Monte-Carlo:
April 9, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Which of the Big 3 do you think you’re most similar to? Or which one would you like to be like?

Alcaraz: I’m not a big fan of comparisons. Of course, it’s an honor to be compared to the three greatest of all time, but I’m Carlos Alcaraz, and I’m just trying to follow my own path — nothing more.
April 8, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Alcaraz.

"I’m not obsessed with being the best in the world. I was number one a few years ago, and I was happy. Now I’m number three, and I’m just as happy. I’m enjoying the journey, the sport, and life."
April 8, 2025 at 12:26 AM
Alcaraz, a multimillionaire, still lives with his parents. And he doesn't want to change that.

"I don’t have much free time. I’m really happy when I get to go back to my parents' home after a long tour or a stretch of tournaments."
April 8, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Alcaraz was asked by GQ Spain if he thinks about winning +20 Slams.

"It’s hard for me to talk about winning 20 Grand Slam titles right now. I only have four, and it would be a mistake to think about reaching 20 when the next one would just be my 5th."
April 8, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Did Alcaraz change since it all started?

"More than changing, I’d say evolving. Even though I’m still very young, I came into the circuit as just a kid. During this time, I’ve learned a bit about how everything (...) The day I stop evolving, we’ll be in trouble…"
April 8, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Alcaraz on why he decided to show his personal side.

"People might see us on the tennis court or in front of a microphone. But they don’t see us when the cameras are off: in the locker room, at home, with friends, in our free time... I thought it would be interesting to show that side too".
April 8, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Alcaraz enjoyed his @netflix series.

"I loved it — mainly because it truly reflects who I am and the people who are with me on this journey. I think everyone who watches it will end up feeling like they know me a little better, especially on a personal level."

WHAT A WIN!

In a match with 17 (!) breaks of serve -- 9 for Medvedev, 8 for Khachanov -- and 36 break points, Daniil Medvedev defeats his good friend Karen Khachanov 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in 2h53 to reach the 2nd round in Monte-Carlo.

He will face Alex Muller in R2.
April 7, 2025 at 6:06 PM
23yo Lorenzo Musetti starts his favorite part of the year with a (very tough) win.

Comes back from 4-6, 2-4 to beat Bu Yunchaokete 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 and reach the 2nd round in Monte-Carlo... against Jiri Lehecka.
April 7, 2025 at 2:34 PM
23 year old Luciano Darderi defeats Tallon Griekspoor 7-6(3), 7-6(4) to win his second career ATP title in Marrakech.

After a very tough start of the year, he got his tennis together in the last two weeks. Serve and forehand are brutal.

Back on top 50.

INCREDIBLE!

38 year-old Richard Gasquet, playing one last time in Monte-Carlo (where it all started for him -- got his 1st ATP win here as a 15yo 23 years ago!!!), defeats Matteo Arnaldi 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to reach the 2nd round.

His first win here since 2018!
