That's a good call, because when they talk about this on the Sunday shows, Trump will saying something like "Mamdani is a nice guy who just might be able to help stop NYC from being a garbage town that's populated by killers, whores, and literal demons. All he has to do is LISTEN TO TRUMP."

Also, to be clear, the "vote to condemn socialism" is even more stupid and pointless than the photo op. Red meat for the dipshit base on the right and Dems who voted for it can now say "I voted to condemn socialism" when hit with claims they're socialist/communists. It couldn't be less meaningful.

This is the only funny one of these I've seen, because that sounds like the perfect time for a Newie.

I'm really shocked after all this time more folks don't get that. When people with star power treat him with what he feels is proper deference, he's nice back because it makes him look reasonable. But since his word means nothing, he'll go back to saying awful things the second it suits him.

This is true so long as the person he's with treats him with the kind of respect or deference that makes him feel important. And because his word means nothing, he can praise someone and then go back to saying awful things if it suits him. This is Kanye in the Oval Office all over again, I think.

Well, Trump always loves people he believes show him the proper respect and deference, especially if it's a vocal critic. Maybe this will be important, but I think it's just as likely it won't because Trump will go back to saying or doing terrible shit the second that person is out of his eyeline.

Perhaps, but I've always felt it was more about their populism than anything substantive about their policies or general ideologies. While there are major distinctions in the details, both Trump and Bernie promised the collective "us" that there was a specific "them" causing all the problems.

I dunno, it's not like Trump always smiles and says nice things to anyone whom he believes shows him proper respect or deference especially if it makes Dems look bad, nor does he ever suddenly contradict himself and go back to saying terrible things on a whim once that person is out of his eyeline.

To any political analyst or reporters wasting time covering this like it was a state visit or something:
