I was honoured to sponsor and speak at today’s UN Day for the Elimination of Race Discrimination Conference at the Senedd.

A special thanks to Prof. Uzo Iwobi CBE, Chief Executive, Race Council Cymru and all partners for bringing together such an inspiring and thought-provoking event.

An extra £3M is being invested in bereavement care and support services across Wales.

This money will support people experiencing a loss. Specialist support will be available for people experiencing the most complex forms of grief and for those living and working in agriculture.

The event was an opportunity to showcase the breadth of apprenticeship opportunities available & to celebrate the partnerships between educators, employers, & policymakers that make them possible.

I visited Hafan y Waun Care Home in Aberystwyth recently to see the partnership work that is taking place between Ceredigion County Council and Hywel Dda Health Board. I was welcomed by Council officers and the Leader of the Council.

A vote in the Senedd passed this week introducing new regulations to prohibit the supply of single-use vapes in Wales.
