I’m going to try and be in a better mood over here.
One of the tougher parts of starting a new job that I had completely forgotten about...learning the language of the company.

Sent out my first email to a bunch of people that I don't know and had to go back to my team and ask them to translate.

Time for winter music.

So it sounds like all of the worst-case scenario stuff that I heard back in 2018/2019 never got resolved.

I blame Tory but Chow needs to fix it now.

wait what
Man I fuckin love that the year started with the UFC welcoming Andrew Tate and every fighter sucking Trump’s balls and ended with Frank Ocean’s boyfriend dominating a former two division champion.

That FIFA trophy is a fucking jump scare.
President Trump with this year’s Kennedy Center honorees which include Sylvester Stallone, George Strait, Gene Simmons, and Gloria Gaynor.

Very happy for the lovely Australian couple that we met in Ireland this summer who really hoped that they could attend a World Cup match that wasn't going to be in the US.

I’d rather rewatch the entire last season of Game of Thrones than this.
Attention MLB fans — especially BlueJays and Dodgers fans.

Bob Costas and Tom Verducci will have a two-hour special on MLB Network breaking down all the key moments of the 2025 World Series Game 7.

The show debuts on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. ET on MLB Network. Should be good.

It’s a shame that nothing has changed in the past 20 years.

Managed to make it through my first 3 years of university without a car but I caved in 4th year.

It became incredibly difficult to do everything that I wanted to do while relying on transit & visiting friends in the county was impossible.
Missing connections in Windsor-Essex

Windsor, Ontario's history is shaped by transportation. Sadly, its local and regional transit services are neglected, despite the needs of a a busy city-region.

I can't begin to explain how shitty all of this is. I've waited my whole life for the World Cup to come to Canada and every single thing that's happened has just made it so much worse.

Maybe I can grab a $8 ticket to Qatar vs. New Zealand or something.
North American sporting icons Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Shaquille O’Neal and Aaron Judge will help conduct Friday’s 2026 World Cup draw in Washington D.C., FIFA has announced.

School buses should be allowed to take the bus lanes on the DVP.

Between the bus being 45 minutes late and traffic, these kids are going to get a solid 2.5 hours at Harbourfront.

He should fire Hodgson.

On the other hand, we're here today because he chose Hodgson over Guilbeault.

Went to a concert Friday night.

20 years ago, I would have done that and then gone across the street and browsed the record store and grabbed whatever interested used CDs I could find.

Now it’s a Dollarama.
The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

I'm so upset about this on both a personal and professional level.

I go to work to try and make the smallest difference in making things better and Carney rolls coal right in our faces.

"Sebastien Squillaci. Pascal Cygan. Marouane Chamakh. To some New Yorkers, these are simply names of former Arsenal players. But to others, they are words that, when spoken aloud by someone with Mr. Mamdani's ideological bent, make them feel unsafe in their own city."

Can Zohran Mamdani Keep New Yorkers Safe From Remembering Some Arsenal Guys? | Defector
Zohran Mamdani is weeks away from becoming Mayor of New York City. As someone who does not live in the city but nevertheless has a lot of opinions about what goes on there, I want his administration…

Arsenal win. Leafs win. Raptors win. Jays sign Cease.

Perfect day.

We prayed for times like this.
Bayern Munich, who twice went 20ish minutes without getting into the Arsenal penalty area, ended this game with 0.68 xG.

That is the third *most* xG by an Arsenal opponent in Premier League and European games this season.

holy crap
@jonheyman.bsky.social reports the Toronto Blue Jays have signed Dylan Cease to a 7 year $210 million deal. 👀👀
