Actually, it was nice to see the more radical left lose their “purity test” and help ensure Carney won. Look south to see the alternative. How many NDPers said Obama, Biden, Trudeau weren’t “left” enough. Be VERY careful.

You have room to expand in the mosquito swamps from Leduc to the tundra. Awesome cities, can now only go up - and they are in BC.

75% of eligible voters in Victora voted in the Federal Election (and counting) - what was the % in the last municipal one? Not ignoring your point of feeling underrepresented,
I’m just citing what I feel are some downsides

Does it correlate with time to vote and does the latter correlate with voting percentage?

Well, how was the turnout in say, Victoria for this federal election? You vote for one name, took me about 95 seconds. Municipally, we could just have to vote for Mayor, our ward SD trustee, councillor, the Board Chair, and a rep for the CRD. Now,
You need a fucking binder - so people don’t vote.

True, and the funding formulas for new schools and districts are archaic. But the at large system dilutes geographic accountability and stifles voter turnout. ProRep would too Corey.

How much would you be willing to lower MP and Staff Staff salaries to make prop-rep economically viable? How would you change confidence votes for stewardship and efficiency? Look at how ineffective the at large system is at the municipal and school board level.

Good article! Is there a link to the maps of the plan? Also, is there coordination with SD61 and the MoEd?
