Astronomer, Physicist at IISER Mohali, India. I like walking, photography, music and many other things.
It is difficult to accept that Naresh Dadhich is no more. He was a teacher, a mentor and a friend. I first met him during the first IUCAA-NCRA summer school in June 1990. He was a very fine human being who used his position on behalf of those who did not have a voice.

A precariously perched temple in Chitradurga fort, Karnataka, India. In the heart of the deccan plateau, this age old fort has many temples, a mosque and of course a palace. Equally stunning are huge rock formations.

As we ring in 2025, may everyone find love for themselves and their fellow human beings, and, banish hate and violence. Wishing all of you a healthy and happy year ahead.

This is a 200+ yr old white silk cotton tree at Lalbagh, Bangalore. Each of the roots that you see here is larger than a typical human.

Presence of old trees is very comforting. This was taken on a recent visit. Saw the tree after more than two decades, just about 10% in the life of this tree!
