But by God Democrats: you got SNAP off the table- now you better be ready to play by January.

Aaaand this answers that question. It appears John Roberts really would let Trump starve people to death if it came down to it. Even tougher for me to blame Democrats for folding now. #SCOTUSReform
The Supreme Court has extended its short-term order allowing the Trump administration to withhold paying full food stamp payments in November.

Can’t help but wonder what would have happened if they’d gave John Roberts a week to decide if he’d really let Trump starve people to death, though.

One the hand, I wanted them to fight. On the other- I know where my next meal is coming from. Trump (only slightly metaphorically) started shooting hostages. I may not agree with Dems decision, but I can see how it was a hard one to make.

And it is difficult to see such shares being restarted, even after Trump leaves. The lights are going out. Donald Trump threw away seventy years of American power that we earned in invested blood by fighting a World War. Trump spits on the sacrifice of every veteran. #VeteransDay

Gosh, Chuck. I thought you were the Minority Leader? If you can’t get even a few of these eight quislings in line by Friday… how good are you at your job?

Schumer either supported this, or he lost control of his caucus at one of the most important moments in U.S. history. I’ll wait and see what January brings before I join them, but right now, I don’t blame anyone calling for his resignation.

You can’t stop it. If Trump wants to pardon her or commute her sentence that is one of the few things he does that he is actually legally allowed to do. Don’t make promises that are impossible. Actually do the things you can do.

If (big if) Democrats had a plan here, I suspect that’s it. By January, everyone will have actually seen what next year’s premiums will be. It’s possible Dems could have an even stronger hand going into another shutdown, and this time Trump won’t be able to starve people as political leverage.

God! I’d hope so. Trump beginning to turn on Republicans was one of the brightest points of the shutdown.

What’s going on? It’s not like Trump to give up that much leverage, on that many people, all at once like that.

A shame a few Dems in the Senate made the choice for them.

They’d have to reopen the House to vote on this deal, and I would assume that means they’d have to swear in Grijalva as well. But I worry about assumptions about how low Republicans will sink these days. Who knows if Mike Johnson will do what he “has” to do.

And even #1 speaks to an inability to read the public mood that merely strongly suggests he should be removed as Minority Leader. 2/2

Three possibilities: 1. Schumer has a good plan that will reveal itself, 2. Schumer has a terrible plan that just screwed over the United States and the Democratic Party, or 3. Schumer had no plan, and is just an incompetent leader.
#2 and #3 demand he be replaced as Minority Leader 1/2
