i think the accessibility features on bluesky are great but because i don't use the platform often, i always forget they're there. whenever i post my art, i post the same thing on all my socials at the same time, so it's a lot of copypasting.

Unless the panel is a discussion of how Rowling sullied her reputation and ruined the HP property with her bigotry, cons should stop hosting HP-related panels and congoers should call them out when they do.
Putting money in Rowling's pocket is also why we ignore press releases from comics events that include Potter programming. It's funding her hate. I'd implore every creator/publisher/potential guest to consider this when approached by those cons. - Andy

This is all very complicated, but Jazz is the most American thing there ever was. A pure blend of influences from numerous parts of the world that occurred IN the US (which arose from oppression, disenfranchisement, poverty) over the course of decades. In a way, Jazz as an art form IS America.
I once got in an argument with a Norwegian coworker who said that America never created any real culture. I pointed out things like jazz and he was like “but really that’s African and Caribbean,” so finally I landed on ranch dressing, and I am proud to confirm that we got that goin for us

Are centrists starting to understand why this isn't the guy? I know us trans people care for eachother and nobody else gives a fuck about us. But this affects everyone. A wealth tax has been very successful in Massachusetts with very little downsides. Why oppose it? (Unless, y'know, you're paid to.)

If we're being honest the AI beauty standards are exactly the same as the ones in beauty magazines, cosmetics ads and reality TV shows from a decade ago but no one wants to have that conversation. Even the Laura Loomer look is just a Temu rip-off of the Kardashian look.

The 115-page report on Kash Patel’s FBI is clownish. It lists “TDS is alive and well” as a key finding, which is absurd for anything claiming to be serious. But it also goes after culture-warrior Kash so hard that it’s obvious MAGA is deeply fractured. Too bad we’re all going to pay for it.
