super duper learning arc .

(falls asleep)
junikrp.bsky.social
i also think there are some ideas and guides out there that can help contribute to better awareness of the game . i can’t explain them here , but i can try in dms if you’re interested in hearing a few things . If the players you like have dms open too , it can be nice to get help from them too .
junikrp.bsky.social
one can be enough ! i’m inspired by a single tent player 「Marurun」, and that’s the only player i can really learn from , it’s just a matter of trying to see all of the opportunities they are playing off of . their team’s resources, active players , and the enemies positioning and mistakes .
junikrp.bsky.social
this approach kind of assumes a level of analyzing ability , so if you struggle with this , it’s good to try and ask others to help you at the start

im somewhat tired , sorry if my explanation is bad .
junikrp.bsky.social
it’s hard to explain in bluesky fully, but the best way to learn is by trying to find a rapid player you like and watching them for these things, and quickly reviewing your own games for like 7 mins (X preferably) to try and see what could’ve happened, and what shouldn’t have
junikrp.bsky.social
with most weapons, it’s the timing of applying pressure and positioning where openings can be created in a given moment . rapid lends itself to being weaker when it’s forced to approach someone, as the distance closes its harder to hit the shots

likewise

you might know this but there is an option to change the audio track back to original, for some reason it auto sets it to auto dub

settings > audio track > japanese original

audio tracks has been a rly cool idea but they kinda ruined it by giving it a really bad quality ai translator

The first of hopefully many posts on data from the Splatoon Community Census!

Shown is a chart of players LUTI div from the most recent season, compared with their X power, showing a pretty linear correlation

Chart by the wonderful @zapfisk.splstrong.com
Graph which shows a correlation between LUTI Division and X Power

I haven’t even played my self because I’m not really into the premise

Using it as a soloq replacement is actually a horrible idea imo I think soloq is extremely
Valuable for teaching people skills regarding winning games in various ways and adapting and most importantly carrying matches

sry for the overly long yap and i appreciate replies to talk about this, i think it’s very important for improvement, but i understand if most people probably won’t read this lol
junikrp.bsky.social
- I have another thing to say about teams… I believe if you organize a team correctly, you can have four people who are focused on solo play to get great fundamentals while they share what they learn with eachother to speed up improvement, you just have to avoid the trap of being team centric
junikrp.bsky.social
- and of course you can’t just go over every fundamental that people have to improve over in the post because there’s so many with quite a bit of depth, and just playing solo more with intention to improve these things *will* make you a better player -
junikrp.bsky.social
- feels like the easier part once you’ve done this, because you don’t have to build awkward reliance and instead just make familiarity with your teammates and comp

I don’t like the wording in the original post because it does just sound like “get better” imo, but it’s based on a very good point -
junikrp.bsky.social
- in solo and in comp by stopping their solo growth and replacing it with team specific growth, they stop trying to look for the things that can be learned in solo when you’re challenged with “bad odds”

How i view the fundaments from solo is like building the foundation, organizing a team -
junikrp.bsky.social
I read through Fuzzy’s posts yesterday and I think that while I don’t like how some things are worded, it’s overall absolutely correct

The fundamentals you learn from solo are so so so important and make up the best players, and i often notice that people who are on teams inhibit their growth -

if you actually ask this i will be doing this

keeping the video link up here in case it’s still wanted by some for whatever reason

the next one will explain things a lot clearer and appeal to more, atleast i hope
