The dream

Double drafting out a slub when spinning long-draw is such a weird neat texture of pull. I'm working up samples of a merino + sari silk blend. I carded this batch into rolags.
Dark green wool with pink, yellow, and blue silk flecks. It's been shaped into rolags-- fluffy tubes, like a corn dog made of cotton candy. Writing this alt text has given me the munchies.

Fluffy gray cat with a white belly and feet. She's mostly tummy up but curled in one of those ways only cats can do, so that her little feet are all in a line. Paw order from bottom of photo up: right front, left front, left back, right back. Cats got a much better spine than we all did.

Plying is my least favorite part of spinning yarn and it's still pretty cool
My left hand holding three strands of singles between my fingers, with the yarn they're being turned into going from the top of my fingers to my (out of frame) spinning wheel.
