Dad Advice of the Day: use a cold chisel and mallet to break up solidified salt.
Of all things home ownership based, I have so many thoughts and opinions about managing snow fall. It’s kinda weird and dorky.

RIP writer James Baldwin, died this day 1987.

"I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain".

Imagine if this is why he’s so excited…
Coach Ben Johnson ditched his shirt to celebrate the Bears' 24-15 road win over the defending champion Eagles Friday, triggering a Wieners Circle giveaway of free hot dogs Tuesday.

❄️ Winter weather is on the way! Salt enhances safety and helps with icy conditions, but excessive salt use can also harm our local water environment, fish, wildlife, insects, bodies of water, soil, and the paws of our four-legged friends. 🐕 🐈 🐢🐟 🦅🦝🐾

Learn to #SaltSmart this winter!

When the baby wakes up at 0530 and you mistake the need for a bottle with “welp, I’m awake” and now their sleep pattern for the day is royally messed up.

There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

Why do so many drivers seem surprised when they approach a stop sign as if they don’t know most Chicagoland streets have a stop sign at every intersection?

You ever think about just about everybody is *really* good at something and much of it is timing and exposure like parents enrolling them at the right time for the kid to take it up and end up among the best?

The city of Broadview and its leaders should understand if you’re going to allow government agencies outside of your municipal operation, it will open up “outside” protesters. Are we only suppose to protest within our community even if it’s a county, state, or federal agency?
I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

Imagine how much fuel, and maintenance cost, drivers would save if they simply drove slower and coasted then slightly braked to stop.
Finally driving my first EV and can’t be the only middle aged dad now *obsessed* with regenerative braking and getting as many miles as humanly possible.
