AHHHHH!!! I am so over the moon. The vote to create a #PoetryHugo passed!! Because of the nature of Worldcon, there still will be another vote at 2026's business meeting, that must ALSO pass to enshrine this permanently. So our activism isn't over, but we are one step closer.

Great work! One aspect of the argument I was just thinking about is how there’s a Hugo category that an album like clipping.’s Splendor & Misery (a rap LP that is explicitly sci-fi) can win, but there’s nothing that a speculative poem or poetry collection can win.
