Same mostly harmless tax nerd, cynic & petrolhead; same character-lite handle. Occasional music & cat content.
In 2012 my Dad & I drove across the US and I saw quite a few wild turkeys along the way (had been A Thing for me since discovering the 101 proof variety, but that's another story...)
In 3 weeks this was the best photo I got, somewhere in Idaho.
(It's *so* much better than my Bald Eagle pics)

All cats are wonderful and you cannot go wrong if guided by their wise counsel.

If you want the tone of your conversation raising, he's the chap for the job.
Possibly.
(Yes, I do wheel that very old screengrab out from time to time; it has always given me great joy)

Nah, that's only just out of beer territory.

(Yes, that is a case of the stuff. No, I will not be taking questions at this time.)

13 years ago, my Dad & I drove from Newark to Vancouver in the first ERA Transamerica Rally. This was at the top of Glenn Canyon.
No particular reason for posting, just a nice memory. Hopefully I'm not the only person with nice memories to share.

A road in Utah (they're not all like this, but the Grand Staircae Escalante was definitely a highlight.)

In a similar vein, I suspect the Financial Services partner who signed off on this particular graphic in 2016 knew exactly what they were doing.

Been doing a bit of tidying up old hard drives, and the elder offspring has scored some new coasters and a rather steampunk pair of earrings out of it.

I think I've probably scraped by this time.

Put me in mind if this little gem from an HMRC consultation.
Would love to read the reasons for anyone taking the fourth option.

Can think of worse places to be on a Friday evening.

Doesn’t mention anything about how the swans can break your arm though.

Something that's been on my mind recently:

For some reason it reminded me of this roadsign I saw in America a few years ago.

Finally got to utter the words “I’m with the band” tonight & get waved through to backstage parking… (this was them performing; proud Dad moment)

Probably an operational incident.

Slightly bemused by this one... the answers are in descending order by time, ie I tried the full version first..?

Can’t believe you’ve left out Buckingham Palace

That’s not the Shard.
This is the Shard.

#ProofOfCat Feeding time - we've suggested to elder daughter that in future she puts the bowls a bit further apart, so that Butterscotch & Oscar, the two flanking thugs, can't pin George (the svelte little pint of Guiness in the middle) into place and stop him heading for their bowls.

I think my timeline may have achieved peak serendipity.

Saw something not dissimilar in a crowded supermarket car park last month. (The icing on the cake was the child seat anchored into the front passenger seat).
