It also makes a lot of sense that Silco uses an eye-patch for his bad eye when he sleeps, to protect his forever-open eye ball.

I read this thing about an artist that said something along the lines of "I don't wait for the muse to kiss me, I MAKE her kiss me." And I believe this is kinda what she meant. Train your discipline to get GOING when you don't feel inspired, and the muse kiss happens somewhere along the way.
