Maybe I should have written “anti venality” rather than “anti corruption”. And you didn’t address my anti democracy and pro US-as-exemplar points. My position is that, although Reagan and the Bushes were awful, Trump is much worse for the country and maybe Roberts et al may someday agree.

The Republicans who appointed Thomas, Alito, and Roberts were pro democracy, anti corruption and believed the US was an exemplar for the world. Today’s Republicans in the Trump party are diametrically opposed to those ideas. Where do the justices in the SCOTUS majority come down on these issues?

Trump doctrine is rather different from the doctrine of the Republicans who appointed Thomas, Alito, and Roberts. Is there no line they will not allow Trump to cross in remaking the meaning of the US constitution?

It woud be helpful if more people understood that a man who says and thinks such monstrous things now has enough money to purchase private armies and sway elections. We can solve part of this problem with two words: wealth tax.
