On a happier note, Days 2-5 of the 12 Days of Cheesemas have been delightfully delicious. I think my favorite has been the Yodel (a Parmesan Gruyère) but the Dill Havarti is a very close 2nd & they’ve all been super tasty. And fun!

This is the third text I’ve gotten today presumably from the Kaycee Brock campaign, all very similar in wording. I replied STOP to the first two, which clearly isn’t getting them to stop. Also, sorry, but an Andre Dickens endorsement makes me infinitely less likely to vote for you!!

Day 1 of the 12 Days of Cheesemas is Classic Cheese Curds! E decided to use them in a breakfast for dinner sorta dish with potatoes, onions, and a poached egg on top. Much yum.

I made a Basque cheesecake again and I think this may be my best one yet. Really happy with how the texture turned out! And the cranberry glaze that we have goes really well with it (and with sausage cheeseballs and a bunch of other things)

Between work & life being busier lately than I’d like I’ve slowed a tad on reading but I just finished Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid and good lord. I am genuinely in awe at this one. The last 20 pages about demolished me & then the last page just.. wow. Maybe my favorite book this year. #booksky

I know there are so many other deeply fucked things in the world but these ticketing queues are so obnoxious. We’ve all just accepted that we have to stare at these screens to maybe get to enter for a chance at maybe buying tickets to things like the World Cup! Well done boys, good process. 🥴🤡

Fuuuuuuucking hell I think I’m about to feel my first direct pain of these dumbass tariffs thanks to our dumbass president.. ordered some new merch from the Norwich City shop a couple weeks ago & just got notified I have to pay over $200 for it to clear US customs. Stupidest fucking country.

I used to think I could never live in NYC under any circumstances but the more I visit over the years the less I feel that way. To be sure, it’s far from likely & would certainly require getting lucky with job(s).. but damn I really do love this city.
