And TODAY, after years of frustration, I discover THIS in Apple Music settings – the option to turn off listening history! 🤯
The solution: OFF on work Mac, ON everywhere else. And I get exactly what I want - work music doesn't pollute my personal profile.
So simple!

Result: confused recommendations, wrong "most listened" stats (work focus playlist dominates everything). The algorithms failed to understand that, from listening preferences PoV, I'm two different people in one body.

For *years* I've struggled with music apps lacking what I thought of as "profiles". At work I only listen to ambient/instrumental music (vocals "distract me" to listen to them), but outside work I'm at the complete opposite end.
Felt frustrated that Apple Music/Spotify can't grasp this duality.
