They also have ignored Indigenous voices for far too long. Carney is going to find out just how determined First Nations in Canada are about protecting what is theirs. Outstanding land claims continue to be ignored and provinces change laws without consultation. Except one.

8/8 Smith's plan risks being a disaster, or at best, a distraction.

What is frustrating about this story is that it implies that the information that a chatbot can give you about making a nuclear weapon is separate from what you can just find online anyway. While I appreciate that the point is that "guardrails" are flawed, it is still a silly example.

Placing businesses that rely in an integrated hub reduces supply costs, transportation costs and production costs. The governments involved can offer reduced taxes, cheap land and other incentives to move CO2 reliant industries to the source of the CO2. Innovative. #cdnpoli @liberalca.bsky.social

That would be a win for everyone. The government does a cross Canada study of where the largest emissions of CO2 are and then creates a network of chemical companies that create CO2 based products or CO2 users so we are not building expensive pipelines to ship CO2. #cdnpoli @liberalca.bsky.social

Perhaps the resaon this is all so expensive to create carbon capture is because businesses think in silos as a single isolated entity. What if the government supported through tax credits the movement of CO2 based industries to where large amounts of CO2 are being created? Less waste&cost. #cdnpoli

www.atlascopco.com/en-ca/compre... This is a chemical company who loves CO2 because of all its multiple uses and believes in carbon capture. What about instead of pumping CO2 into the ground-very expensive- chemical factories build right beside the place of fossil fuel and CO2 production? #cdnpoli
